Terms of Service
The agreement between you and SEFADEV: what you may publish, what rights you keep in your work, and what we may do about accounts that abuse the platform.

1. The agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and SEFADEV (“we”, “us”), which operates SEFADEV. By creating an account or using the platform, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use SEFADEV.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with personal data and forms part of this agreement.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. If you use SEFADEV on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password and your linked Google account secure. Tell us at support@sefadev.com if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Your username and address
Your username is your address on SEFADEV — it appears in your profile URL and in the links to everything you publish. Two things follow from that, and both are deliberate:
- You can change it whenever you like. Your old address then permanently redirects to your new one, so links other people have already shared keep working.
- A released username is never reissued to anyone else, including after you delete your account. A link someone saved must never one day land on a stranger’s profile.
We may reclaim a username that impersonates someone, that is reserved for platform use, or that was registered mainly to sell or to deny to its obvious owner.
4. Your content, and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of everything you publish here. We claim no ownership of your posts, code, images or comments.
To be able to run the platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, publish and distribute the content you post, for as long as you keep it on SEFADEV. Read “adapt” narrowly: it covers resizing your images, generating preview cards, rendering your Markdown, and producing feeds and structured data. It does not let us sell your work or pass it off as ours.
That licence expressly includes making your public content available to search engines and AI answer engines, and that is the point of the platform. SEFADEV exists so that a developer’s work is discoverable and cited. We publish machine-readable feeds and structured data and we invite AI crawlers to read them. Once a third-party index or model has ingested a public page, we cannot make it forget — see §2 of the Privacy Policy. Publish accordingly.
The licence ends for new uses when you delete the content, subject to the two practical exceptions in §9: copies may persist in backups for a period, and comments you left under other people’s posts stay in place with your name removed.
You confirm that you have the right to publish what you post — that it is yours, or that you have permission, and that publishing it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
5. What you may not do
Do not use SEFADEV to:
- post content that infringes copyright, trade marks, trade secrets, privacy or any other right;
- impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
- harass, threaten, defame or incite violence against anyone, or post sexual content involving minors;
- publish malware, exploit kits aimed at non-consenting targets, phishing pages, or instructions whose evident purpose is to attack systems you have no permission to touch;
- post spam, bulk SEO filler, undisclosed paid links, or content generated wholesale to game search or answer engines rather than to be read;
- publish other people’s personal information without their consent, or credentials and secrets — yours or anyone else’s;
- scrape, crawl or hit the platform in a way that degrades it for others, evade rate limits, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- register accounts in bulk, or use automation to fake engagement or manipulate what gets surfaced;
- break the law where you are, or where we operate.
Security research is welcome. Reporting a vulnerability in good faith to abuse@sefadev.com, without accessing other people’s data and without degrading the service, is not a breach of these terms and we will not pursue you for it.
6. Moderation
We may remove content or restrict an account that breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you what was removed and why, and you may reply to support@sefadev.com to contest it. We act faster and explain later when there is a credible risk to someone’s safety, to the platform’s integrity, or a legal obligation to.
To report content or a copyright infringement, write to abuse@sefadev.com with the URL and enough detail for us to act. For a copyright claim, include the work concerned, your authority to act for its owner, and a statement that your claim is made in good faith.
SEFADEV hosts what its users publish. We do not review posts before they go live, and content on the platform is the responsibility of the person who wrote it, not an endorsement by us.
7. What the platform will not do to you
These are commitments about the product rather than obligations we are placing on you, and we put them in the terms so they are harder to quietly reverse:
- No public scores. SEFADEV has no vote arrows, no karma, no follower-count leaderboards and no public view counters. Your work is not ranked in front of you as a popularity number.
- No engagement pressure by email. We do not send streak reminders, trending alerts or digests of popular posts. See §8 of the Privacy Policy.
- No advertising, and no selling your data.
- Your links keep working. Renamed profiles redirect permanently and released usernames are never reissued — §3.
If we ever change one of these, it is a material change and we will tell you before it takes effect, per §11.
8. Availability, and the limits of what we promise
SEFADEV is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and to keep your content safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we give no warranties beyond those the law does not let us exclude. Keep your own copies of work that matters to you.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the platform altogether we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your content first.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost data; and our total liability to you for any claim relating to SEFADEV is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 USD. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
9. Ending the agreement
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, your identity is erased and your profile and posts come down; comments you left under other people’s posts remain with your name removed, and copies may persist briefly in backups. The detail is in §9 of the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where we must in order to comply with the law. Sections that by their nature should survive — the licence for content you left in other people’s discussions, §8, and §12 — survive termination.
10. Third-party services and links
Signing in with Google is subject to their terms as well as ours. Posts on SEFADEV may link to sites we do not control, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes — anything that meaningfully reduces your rights or expands ours — we will give notice by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use SEFADEV after that is acceptance; if you would rather not accept, you can delete your account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute — except that, if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
